Our annual SU Awards recognise and celebrate those students who contribute so much of their time, energy and expertise to improving the student experience at UU.
We want to recognise contributions to student life, these contributions can take many different forms. That's why we have 10 different categories to recognise within our SU Awards! In 3 categories there are long lists of societies qualifying for this award (determined by Student Activities Team). For the remaining 7 awards, you will be free to nominate whomever you please!

This award recognises a committee member who has gone above and beyond in their role.
This award will go to someone who has offered knowledge, expertise and support which has been key to the society’s success.
Society Member of the Year (Nomination Category)
This award recognises a society member who has helped the society fulfil its potential. It recognises the non-committee member who goes the extra mile for their society.
Jordan Kennedy Charitable Contributor (Nomination Category)
This award will be awarded to a person, society or student group who has shown passion & enthusiasm for a charitable cause. They may have delivered an innovative fundraiser or promoted awareness of a charity to staff and students at UU.
Student Voice Legend (Nomination Category)
This award recognises a student who has contributed significantly, inside and outside of their course, to championing issues that matter to UU students, educationally and socially.
New Society of the Year (Vote Category)
This award recognises a society set up in 2024/2025 which has had a significant impact in their short time. This longlist acknowledges the societies wo have made themselves seen since setting up.

This award recognises a society that has been focused on giving their members more opportunities to develop themselves and their futures, providing members with connections to people with similar interests and goals, inside and outside of their academic fields. Also, providing fun social events.
Outstanding Society (Nomination Category)
This society is one that stands out for all the right reasons. They will have contributed to life on campus for their members and perhaps even for the student body in general.
