Join Magee's Film Society today!
The Film Society aims to hold weekly film screenings open to anyone within the Ulster Magee campus! We will cover a range of movie genres, so there's something for everyone! We also hope to give people a place to meet with others on campus, whether it be bringing your mates along to a screening, or coming on your own to hang out for the evening.

Em McCaughey, They/them, Chair — Hello, I'm Em and I'm a second year cinematic arts student at UU. I love reading and crafty hobbies, and in my spare time I like to travel and cry over TV shows. My favourite film at the minute is All of Us Strangers and my all time favourite comfort film is The Princess Bride!
Emily Tweedie, She/Her, Vice Chairperson — Hello! I'm Emily and I'm a second year Cinematic Arts student in UU! I love to draw as well as animate and sometimes play guitar too! I'm a big fan of cartoon shows and anything Studio Ghibli, my favourite is Howl's moving castle. So excited for this year!! :)
Luke Duffy, He/Him, Treasurer – Hello, my name is Luke and I am also a second year cinematic arts student at UU!! I’m really passionate about art, music and movies (crazy). My favourite film for the longest time has been Unbreakable by M. Night Shyamalan and I don’t think that’s gonna change anytime soon. Really looking forward to this year!
Ben "Benjamin" Lundy, He/him, Wellbeing officer — Hello there (Star Wars reference) i'm Ben, but you can call me Benny or Benjamin whatever you prefer. I'm a second year student at Ulster studying Cinematic Arts, I love writing, cinematography and creating plots in my head. My favourite film tends to change, but currently it's Oppenheimer which i've seen 13 times, trying to get 20.
Lauren “Laurie” Crothers, She/her, Secretary/Social media — Hi, I’m Laurie! I’m a second year at UU, studying Cinematic Arts. I really enjoy film/video editing and screenwriting, alongside collecting colourful accessories! My favourite films change a lot, but I always love animation and superheroes flicks. I also like a few musicals !! Excited for the year <3
