Who are Love The Oceans?
Quote from outreach office:
"Love The Oceans is a grassroots marine conservation charity dedicated to preserving the marine ecosystem of Jangamo Bay, Mozambique. We're not your typical organization – we're on a mission to establish Jangamo as a Marine Protected Area (MPA) through evidence-based research, community-led initiatives, and immersive expeditions. We do fisheries, coral, megafauna, trash and turtle research and have an array of capacity-strengthening projects. We were honoured to be recognized as one of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's global grassroots #forcesforchange and we recently received the Ocean Award in the Young Initiative category in recognition of our work. Our impact was further acknowledged when our area was established as a Mission Blue Hope Spot. Our expeditions are designed to equip students for a career in marine biology, offering training from experienced marine biologists, a CV workshop, career advice, and hands-on experience. Students also have the opportunity to collect their dissertation data with us."
We look forward to seeing you all there!
