► Creche Subsidy - for Student Parents

As part of our effort to help students in every way possible the students’ union will again in 2011/2012 offer to subsidise the cost of creche facilities to those parents who experience financial difficulty.

It is important to note that the subsidy is not an ‘entitlement’, and while we would like to, we can not subsidise all students. We will therefore try to focus the funds available on those whom we deem to BE MOST in need. In this regard, we will favour applicants on low incomes as distinct from those on moderate incomes who happen also to have commitments. To be fair to all we must also adhere strictly to the terms and conditions. The final decision will rest with the Creche Subsidy Committee who will consider all information available to them.

Where approved the subsidy will be as follows:-

Internal University of Ulster Creche - 40% of actual cost
External Creche -40% of actual cost - To Maximum of £50 per week
