The Magee Students' Union Law Society is one of the oldest societies at the University.
Mooting is something we hope to promote within the society this year, with competitions to be run for all levels. Magee Law Society will be taking part in mooting competitions and in national competitions throughout the year.
Magee Law Society will be regularly hosting talks and forums with luminary speakers. Up and coming guest speakers include Brice Dickson (Professor at Queens University and author of The legal system of northern Ireland) and Judge Sean McBride (District Court Judge).
Magee Law Society also has a deserved reputation for having one of the best social calendars in Magee University. The Annual Dinner and Law Ball are always hotly anticipated and are a night of true decadence and glamour held at some great venues around the city.
With workshops and talks throughout the year, we give our members a head-start in pursuing a career in Law. Whether you are an aspiring solicitor, barrister or public service officer, we will help connect you to those firms, Inns and institutions.
