This is the official title of the Class Rep module that you can complete to receive recognition for your time as a representative. It is delivered online through BBLearn and can be completed in your own time.
It is a 10-Credit Point module that is awarded towards the Certificate in Personal and Professional Development (NOT your main qualification). The other modules that you can take towards this certificate are detailed on the Career Development Centre's website here
Regardless of whether you take any other CPPD Modules there are still FIVE very good reasons to take part in the module:
The biggest time commitment that you will give to this module will be carrying out the tasks of a class representative; so communicating with your class mates/lectures and attending meetings with staff and the Students' Union. There will be at least one meeting with both your course team and one with the Students' Union per semester. If you are an online student, then your course team will facitiltate through an online discussion.
The Student Representation Area on BBLearn contains the online training that you need to complete as part of the module: you will be automatically registered onto this as soon as we receive your Class Rep form after you have been nominated (these can be found on this page: http://www.uusu.org/content/783643/). You must complete this training to qualify for the module.
We would ask that you spend around 2 hours a week checking in with the area, reading some information and participating in tasks and discussions.
By the end of Semester 2 you will have carried out the following assignments:
