Why join a Sports Club?


There are many reasons to join a sports clubs when you come to university. It’s a great way to meet people who have the same sporting interests as yourself and make new friends, you could end up representing the University and you will be keeping fit.  Check out www.ulstersportsunion.com for a full list of clubs on your campus.
 

How to join a club

 

• Meet the club members at the 2012 Freshers Fayre at your campus and find out more about the club-
• Provide club with contact details to contact you about club training/information -Come along to the fresher fayre on your campus and join the Sports Union; Magee 25th Sep, Coleraine 26th Sep, Jordanstown 27th Sep and Belfast 1st Oct
• Sign up for Sports Union membership at the Sports Centre table at the Fresher Fayres
If you miss Freshers Fayre, you can still join a sports club. Find more details about each club at: www.uusport.com/sportsunion
After Freshers Fayre, Sports Union membership can be purchased from the Sports Centre Reception at each campus

With Sports Union membership you can:
• Join one of our many different clubs ranging from Aikido to Volleyball and lots more!
• Have the opportunity to access training courses for sports, administration and management.
• Get FREE use of facilities for Club training
• Get benefit from Personal Accident Insurance Cover in your chosen sport
• Have your views represented regarding sport.
• Have the opportunity to represent the University of Ulster in your sport, and to gain representative honours for the Irish and/or British University teams.
• Have the opportunity to join Site Committees and have your say on what goes on.
• Have the opportunity to be considered for inclusion in high profile sporting and social events throughout the year including the Colours Award Ceremony.
