You may have read over the weekend that UCU members nationally have voted in favour of reaching a deal with UUK over the pensions dispute. As a result, strike action has been suspended and there will be no further action during the exam period or the summer semester.
We will be meeting with members of senior management this week to discuss the follow-on from this and to find out what steps are being taken to redress the loss of class time and disruption faced by students during the strike period including, whether the university have any plans to consider requests for compensations.
We will also be meeting with UCU members in due course to discuss the importance of continual joint working, particularly when it comes to supporting members of the PhD community.
If you have any outstanding questions about the strike action, please contact email@example.com.
Good luck with the last few weeks of term!
