The CU events week gave students an opportunity to hear to and respond to the claims of the Christian faith.
The CU held a football tournament on Monday evening. Whilst it didn’t differ too much to what you would expect in terms of sport, former CU president, Phil Small spoke at half-time asking the students to ask themselves who they see Jesus is.
On Tuesday lunchtime, the CU’s first lunch-bar was held. With the CU often being a common society on most campuses across the UK, lunch-bars are a popular activity to encourage engagement from the society with regular students. Coleraine CU didn’t miss the opportunity with the day falling on the same day at Pancake Tuesday. Serving pancakes, tea/coffee as well as a talk from Jim Crooks from the Crescent Church in Belfast on “Does Science disprove the existence of God?”
The CU meets Wednesdays 7:30pm U123 as well as serving their campus & local community through serving hot drinks & chat outside the Anchor on Tuesday nights or through homework clubs held within the Ballysally estate.
